PHNOM PENH: President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, Mr. Hun Many urged young people to think about their future by finding what they want to do and have a plan for life to be prepared for the situation that will occur in adulthood.

Speaking at the 3rd Free Workshop on Promoting Youth Entrepreneurship in Phnom Penh this morning, 12 February 2022, Mr. Hun Many shared his personal experience when he entered the first year of high school then he did not know what he had to learn. At that time, he chose to study economics following his two brothers, but after learning from himself, he decided to study political science, which he said he could catch more than economics.

He encourages young people who are in high school and have just entered university to find out for themselves what they want to do in the future. He added that attending seminars with experts to explain also helps a lot for the orientation of young people.

He said: "Sometimes the plan or something that is prepared for us is a miracle and it does not like what we think! Learn only one subject, but sometimes when we go out in there is a highly competitive market, we inevitably have to think of Plan B so that no matter what, we have to keep trying, saying like does not mean to put more pressure on you! But success in life is like that. The first plan does not succeed, there must be a second plan, the second plan does not succeed, there must be a third plan, but you have to work hard on your own."

Mr. Hun Many also mentioned the success of learning, which he said that there are three stages: learning in the classroom, learning by observing and asking others who are doing specific things can be our role models and the last point is both studying and learning.

He said: "Only work can teach us specificity. I would like to assure you that the first time I spoke in public, I could only speak three words. In these three words, I can say that I am holding my feet and shaking, but after 10 years, I can say that I will be able to study for a little over 10 years, and I will continue to study hard.”

The workshop invited expert speakers who have been successful in their business and work to share their debating experiences.
